Hi.I am Itos Ledesma.My full name is Augusto Xavier Ledesma.I was born on the 26th day of the 2nd month of the 1994th year of the common era.

I live in a house and spend most of my time in a room full of books,CD’s and pirated DVD’s.I play the guitar,the piano and I like to think that I sing pretty well.I enjoy writing songs in English and writing poetry in Filipino but I can’t write songs in Filipino or poetry in English.I’ve written a few stories but the protagonist always dies in the end so I have to improve.I am addicted to the stage and I have thoughts of suicide but taking my own life wouldn’t be as dramatic as suddenly loosing it for absolutely no reason so I would never kill myself.I am 5 foot something and weigh around 100 something pounds.I wish I was gay so I could piss off homophobes.

I don’t like having haircuts,preachy idiots,closed-minded nitwits,Michael Bolton,authority in general,hypocrisy,dictators,cheesy commercials and obnoxious pedestrians.I like Japan,Buddhism,girls with weird eyes,freedom,vodka,running,movies that make you think,interesting music,Bob Dylan,philosophy,comic books,guitars,Megan Fox,sunglasses,Jesus and speaking in metaphors.

My favorite authors include Haruki Murakami,Neil Gaiman,Alan Moore,Albert Camus,George Orwell,Chuck Palahniuk and Anthony Burgess.

I smell like soap and wine all the time even if I don’t shower or drink.

I don’t ever brush my hair.

I’m only writing this down in case I forget who I am like Bruce Willis in 12 Monkeys.

Manuel Nicolas Alvero

Most days, Manuel Nicolas Alvero sings, plays guitar, jumps around, fights crime, and generates Kirbyesque dots of pure cosmic radiation for Ang Bandang Shirley, Manila’s leading providers of hummable punk fun. Some nights, though, 10 minutes will pass w/ no crime happening. During those 10 minutes, Manuel will park his ship, focus on his breathing, plug into a smaller amp, and record a peaceful, minor-key ditty over a simple loop. After he’s done w/ one ditty, he moves unfussily on to another one. Mebbe this next one has more echo on it, and mebbe his synth’s setting is Water Droplet Into Cave Pool. Mebbe he’ll channel James McNew. Mebbe he’ll let Simon do th singing on this one. Pretty soon, more crimes will happen, and Manuel’s Shirleyphone will ring. “It’s all downhill from here,” he murmurs, which means life is getting harder and harder, or easier and easier. For 10 minutes, we focus on our breathing, prepared for good or evil. Galactus could come calling, but it could be just to say hello.

The Charmes

With a sound reminiscent of garage rock and punk, The Charmes was formed around late 2006 by four close friends from Marikina City, Philippines. Vocalist/guitarist Brian Josef, wanted to create a band that would be a true musical outlet for him while being in good company. To make this happen, he thought of bringing together his musician friends JB Bulan (Guitar), Jerome Abello (Drums) and Jiggers Vergel de dios (Bass). The band’s set to release their EP and debut album in 2009.

Halik ni Gringo

Halik Ni Gringo started out as an idea on paper, originally having 8 members (with currently non-existing member having “Body” as his designated instrument). All children of the 80’s, memories of balloon pants, big shoulder pads and even bigger hair prodded the creation of a band that enjoys the aesthetic of melodic late 20th century cheese with do it yourself sensibilities. Though not one of the most technically proficient or creative bands out there, we’d like to think we’re the ones who like to have dumb fun the most.
